Ciq

Jason has made up a game called Ciq. It's a lot of fun.

(Matt has a ton of otter pops)

Object

To be the first player to get rid of every card from your hand, Up pile, Down pile, and Defense pile.

Before PlayDivide all cards among all players. Some may receive an extra card. These form the Down piles. Each player draws 1 card and places it face up beside their Down pile. This is called the Defense pile. Each player then draws 3 cards from the Down pile and keeps them in their hand. Each TurnPlay begins with the player on the dealer's left and proceeds clockwise. You must have a minimum of 3 cards in your hand at the beginning of each turn. If you don't, draw from your Down pile to equal 3. You then have a choice of attacking, defending, or drawing an additional card to end your turn.AttackingTo begin an attack, you must have a card in your hand that matches or is lower than the value of the top card of another player's Defense pile. You attack by laying the card, face up, in front of their Down pile. This forms their Up pile. You may also choose to attack their Defense pile to raise the top card to allow a better chance of being able to attack them in the future. You may put down as many cards from your hand as you want. Cards after the first card of an attack must match the suit or value of the one you played before it. It does not need to be a lower value like with the initial card. You may only attack 1 player per turn. Attacking is optional.AttacksThese only take effect if played on an Up pile, not a Defense pile. The last card you put down determines the attack. All attacks transfer cards from the top of your Down pile onto their Up pile, face up.Here is a list:2/3/4: Transfer 1 card.5/6/7: Transfer 2 cards.8/9/10: Transfer 3 cards.Jack: Transfer twice as many cards as you have left in your hand.Queen: Whatever value the card is that the Queen was place upon, transfer that many cards. Jacks equal 11, Aces equal 14, etc.King: Transfer your entire Up pile.Ace: Transfer your entire Down pile.DefendingTo lower the chance of another playing being able to attack you, you may defend by replacing the cards on your Defense pile with one in your hand. The card you place down must be of the same suit as the top one currently there. All the cards that were in the Defense pile then go in your hand. The End of the Down and Defense PilesIf your Down pile runs out, you must turn your Up pile over to form a new Down pile. If you are in the process of transferring cards or drawing and your Down pile runs out, flip your Up pile over and continue transferring or drawing. If you don't have an Up pile, continue transferring from the top of your Defense pile. If that runs out and you still haven't transferred all the cards, continue by pickings cards from your hand. If you finish and still have at least one card in your hand, you must choose one and place it face up to form a new Defense pile. You will not be able to go until someone puts cards in your Up pile, in which you would flip over to form a Down pile which you can draw from on your next turn.

Sorry it's so long, it doesn't copy right and just makes it a big mess heheh.
Here are some videos that show us playing
