Sis. Shannon's baby shower

7/11/09 At 1:00 pm was Sis. Shannon's baby shower. It was at the place by the Morton's house where we had the Easter singing. When we walked in there was a blanket on a table that we signed for Sis. Shannon. We had lunch there, there were vegetable sandwiches, pasta salad (I think), and fruit salad. Also, Sis. Cora and Ashley were there.

This was taken after lunch. Ashley wanted to take silly pictures while we waited for everyone to finish lunch. I deleted my silly picture though cause it didn't look that cool. So only Ashley gets to look silly, haha.

For the first game we played we had a piece of paper with a list of words. Like: 11 pound baby, Grandparents, Boys' names etc. Sis. Valerie held up a board with a lot of candy on it and we had to match the candy with the words on the paper. So for 11 pound baby, we put the candy Whopper by it. Sis. Valerie would walk back and forth to the 3 tables so everyone could see them, and Daneka was following her the whole time because she wanted the candy. Sis. Valerie gave her one and Daneka was all happy.

Sis. Judy won, she got all of them right. I got all but 3 right, so did a lot of other people. Here is my list:

Sis. Valerie had called Bro. Aaron and asked him some questions before the party, then for the second game we played, Sis. Valerie asked Sis. Shannon the same questions and she had to try to guess what Bro. Aaron said. All of us had to write down how many questions we thought she would get right. There were 12 questions, but for the first question Sis. Valerie accidentally gave away the answer so we didn't count that one.

Sis. Shannon got 6 out of 11 right, and that's how many I guessed so I got a candy bar. Yay! A couple of other people won too.

That was the last game, then we had dessert and Sis. Shannon opened presents. For dessert Sis. Michele made some monkey cupcakes cause Sis. Shannon loves monkey's. She also made little carrot cake muffins. They were both really good.

Sis. Valerie got a present I think from the Wayenberg's. Sorry if I got it wrong. She got a picture frame. She was like, "What? This isn't my shower!"

Sis. Shannon got two monkey stuffed animals. One was from Ashley, and one was from her sister-in-law Stephanie.

Her last present was a baby crib. She really liked that one, she started crying. Sorry if I embarrass you Sis. Shannon :) I didn't mean to.

We cleaned up after that. Stephanie gave all of us a little goodie bag. Her and Sis. Valerie were in charge of the party. Good job guys, it was a nice party!

On Sunday we had Sis. Cora, Ashley, Austyn, Cheree, and Jason's family over for lunch after church. That day it was raining a lot and there was a thunder storm. Our power went out about 3 times. It's funny because Matt and Ben went to their school to play ultimate frisbee with some guys. My mom was worried and my dad told them, "if you get struck by lightning then come home" that made Cheree and I laugh a lot. The boys came back soaking wet. Ashley and I had a drawing contest to see who drew better. Then us kids played Apples to Apples. That game went on for so long that everyone but Matt, Ashley, and I dropped out. We literally played for 2 hours. We got sooooo many cards, and forgot to take a picture with them all. Oh well, I don't think all of the cards would fit into the picture anyway lol.

4th of July

We celebrated 4th of July at the Pelkey's house. In the morning my parents took Ben to the parade with both Pelkey families and Hitson's. I'm not sure if anyone else was there since I didn't go. Matt and I stayed home since we knew it was going to be hot.

Then we went to the Pelkey's house around 5:00 for a bbq. We got in our swim suits to go swimming.

In this video they were playing a game where Matt and Ben had to try to touch the walls while they're sitting in the tubes, and Andrea and Stephanie have to try to stop them.

Another game we played was Blind Man's Bluff, but we played our own version of it and we either call Bluff Man's Blind, or Buff Man's Blind, I can't remember if it was "Bluff, or Buff". I think it'd be funnier if it was called Buff Man's Blind though. Then Bro. Aaron said, "let's play body slam your friend!" Everyone would pick eachother up and dunk eachother. It was funny, Stephanie was trying to do it to Matt.

Soon after that we got called out to eat. Us kids were playing with those little fireworks that pop. Whatever they're called, lol. We were popping them in our hands.

Daneka wanted to go in the teeter-totter so Bro. Jim played with her with his hands.

The kids got on the trampoline and Daneka saw my camera and asked for it.

Matt, Ben, Bryan, and Stephanie were throwing eachother a football with their feet. But in this picture it is only Matt, Ben, and Bryan.

After we ate we went back in the pool. Ben got in a lot of tubes. It looked funny. Then Stephanie and Andrea did it too.

We got called out to get dried off so we could watch the fireworks and eat dessert.

My mom took a picture of my dad and Bro. Jim, but they blinked. So she took another one, and they blinked again. So my dad told Bro. Jim to look away from the camera so they wouldn't blink, and they still blinked, lol. Actually, my dad was starting to blink in the last picture.

The fireworks weren't as good as last years's, or as long. It was still fun though, and it was a fun 4th of July! There was a lot of traffic too, it took forever to get home.

I forgot to add this part. When we were watching the fireworks, Matt was throwing ice cubes at Ben and I, and when he threw it at Ben he wasn't paying attention, but as soon as it hit Ben he grabbed it without looking before it went down his shirt, just tossed it over his head without looking with his left hand and it went right down Matt's shirt and he couldn't get it out. Matt was like, "how'd that happen? You weren't even trying to do that!"

Father's Day

Hey everyone! Here is the long awaited post of Father's Day. So sorry I'm super duper late. I was going to do a 3 in one post, but decided not to since I will just try to post them fast. It takes too long to do more than one together so I'll be lazy and do this, lol.

But first, I will tell you how hot it was today. It was 102 degrees. I am surprised that I managed to survive. Ben and I had to go out around 2:00 pm to drop off applications and check on the ones we dropped off in the past. It was hot getting in and out of the car.

Alright, enough of that. Let's move on to the point of this post!

On Father's Day we were going to go to the park but it rained. So we had a bbq and just enjoyed everyone at home. We kind of just sat around and played with Justin. Everyone loves that baby. It was funny, Nichole put Justin in his crib...thing and left to go do something so we watched him while she was gone. He was supposed to be sleeping because he forgot to nap, but he couldn't sleep knowing that we were there so Andrea put a sheet over the crib so he couldn't see us. She put some on the sides too. Well he just started laughing for no reason. He laughed for about 10-15 minutes then started to fuss a little so we got him out.

You don't have to watch this whole video, of course. But you should watch around the 1:20 mark or something like that. My dad was being funny with Justin and Andrea was laughing a lot.

Bro. Tony and Sis. Ashley were still living with us on Father's Day but they did their own thing that day. They did stop by the house and they showed Josilyn and Justin to eachother. Justin smiled when he saw her, it was cute.

Andrea could make Justin laugh a lot in this video.

We played Rummikub but I forget who won. It might have been my mom or something.

Andrea looks like a snob, and Jeff looks like he's so thrilled. Hahaha, I just caught them at a bad time.

After Rummikub my dad opened his presents. I'll just show two of what he got. I made him a photo mug when I was in my graphic design class.

Alrighty, that is all. Oh yeah, it was also Momo's birthday on Father's Day. She is now 7 I think. Still acts like a puppy....I think she thinks she's in Neverland or something. So yeah, I will post about 4th of July next, and soon. Bye!

What has been going on

I have not posted my long post yet since Ben has been doing stuff on the downstairs computer. Like disconnecting it and working on stuff. So I can't post on that one yet. Soooo since I can't do my long post yet, I shall let everyone know what has kind of been going on in my life. If I can think of anything....

Ummm....well Matt took Ben and I to see Monsters Vs. Aliens on the 13th. It was pretty cool. One of my favorite parts was when this monster named Bob got this gun and he's like, "hey guys, check this out" and he accidentally shot this dude. It was pretty funny.
Let's see.....Ben and I have to try to get a job....uhh....Cheree and I want to make some random videos on put them on youtube. Kind of like the Fred guy, but not with chipmunk voices cause it gets kinda old after a while. Plus we don't wannabe some copy-cats. Cheree came over today to make our first video, but since we didn't plan it, it turned out laaaaame. We kind of just sat there talking about nothing. Then we randomly ate some tic-tacs. Oh, and also I had this baby doll when I was a kidling and when you push its heart it makes this weird noise like, "geh-jeh-wa-ga-ga-ga-geh-jeh-wa-ga-ga-ga....hungry mommy" but it is very old and we never once changed the batteries, so now it sounds like a monster. Seriously...it's creepy. We had the Morton's, my aunt Vicki, uncle Bob, Janean, and Daneka over for dinner like 3 nights ago, and Daneka got that baby doll out then pushed the button and she had kind of a shocked look, it was so funny. Janean was like, "what in the world is that??"

What else is there....oh umm, my dad made me the official flower waterer...person...whatever it's called, anyways I have to water the flowers and Bro. Tony's garden everyday, and the grass. One day I was watering the garden and we just put the sprinkler out there so we don't have to stand out there forever, and my dad told me to leave it going for about 2 hours. I came back to move the sprinkler and it was all muddy by the garden and I fell. It was funny, I was cracking up at myself and I was thinking, "if the neighbors saw me they'd think I was crazy for laughing at nothing."

I think that is it...kinda. Nothing really cool has been going on in my life. So I guess this is it for this post. Then I will try to post the other one as soon as Ben hooks the computer back up. I am realllllly late on the other post. I still have to do Father's Day LOL. Also 4th of July, that deserves another LOL. Also Sis. Shannon's baby shower. I will do a 3-in-one post so I can just get it all over with.

Oh yeah, one last thing. This happened like 3 minutes ago. I was wanting to make some fancy-type dresses for dolls cause it looks like fun, so I went online to look for dolls that didn't have anything yet, so you could dress it and put the hair on. One of the links I saw was from the yahoo answer thing, and someone asked, "where can I buy ugly dolls?" that seriously made me laugh out loud. I put my hands over my mouth so I wouldn't laugh too loud. Normally I don't laugh a lot at stuff, but I just didn't expect to see that. I started wondering if a guy wanted to know so he could give an ugly doll to a girl he doesn't like or something. I dunno, it was just really funny for some reason.
