The story of the thrift stores!!

September 11th

It was a cold, cloudy day and no one was seen in town. Two girls wandered from store to store looking for something......DUN DUN DUUUUUUUUUUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, story mode over. Back to blog mode...I guess that's what it'd be called since this is a blog.

That story kind of has a story to it, but it wasn't cold and cloudy, it was just a normal probably sunny day. Kacia and I have wanted to go thrift store shopping for a while now, we'd plan it on IM. We finally got to go on Thursday.

In the morning after we got ready we were waiting to leave and Ben didn't seem happy that morning. He wasn't in a bad mood or anything, just not smiling. Kacia kept telling him to put on a happy face and to smile, she'd sing too. None of it worked. My mom took us to Goodwill in Junction City and we were looking at the books. Without noticing what I had picked up, I showed a book to Kacia. She looked at it and said that she was going to buy it for Ben. The book was called 'Put On a Happy Face!'

We came home after that to take Ben to HomeSource. Kacia gave it to him in the car and he was trying not to smile. She read it on the way. When we got there, she asked if she could have a tour of HomeSource, so I took her all over. It was a short tour because it's such a small school, and very very crowded during lunch. You don't want to be there at that time O_O

We got back in the car and drove to some thrift stores. Our favorite one was St. Vincent De Paul. It was more random stuff and a ton of books. In the book section I found a book called 'Fat No More' and I showed it to Kacia and she wanted to buy it for Matt, but it was $4.00 dollars and that's sort of a lot for a joke book. Matt's nickname is Fat Matt because at Sister Heather's wedding Matt sat in a chair and it broke so now we call him that. He likes it though. So we didn't buy it, but we took some books and put them together for a picture.

As we walked towards the clothing I found a jacket that looked like a rug.
The thing about the sleeves is from Napolean Dynamite lol.
I found those shoes and Kacia had me try them on for the pic. She was wondering if they were meant for wearing so I said that I wouldn't stand in them all the way...but I thought for a second...and came up with "wait, if I put them both on, then of course I'll stand in them all the way" Kacia laughed at me.

I also found a 'kitten mitten' and I thought it was 'kitchen mitten' and I put it on and asked how are you supposed to cook with this.

This is a very cool mask. I sort of wish I bought it so that I could use it in movies ^_^Kacia and I got a little tired of thrift stores because we had been shopping for hours, so we went to the Valleyriver mall to get something to eat and hang out till Matt got off work so he could take us to see Kung Fu Panda. Her and I went to the Halloween store and I found some small glasses
Matt came to pick us up and took us to the Gateway mall to eat dinner. We had McDonald's

Ronald's our role model!

After Kung Fu Panda, we drove home and played cards then went to bed.

Oh yeah, also at one of the thrift stores I found this emo toy. It was a boy dressed in all black, his hair was black and for some reason his mouth was black, and his skin was white. I picked him up and said "what's wrong with this guy" then I squeezed him and he screamed! It kind of scared me because I wasn't expecting it, but we both cracked up. For some reason I forgot to take a picture of it, and it was the funniest thing we found too. So I drew him the best I could remember.

Last Saturday

The Salgado's posted about this, but I have to post about it too. Plus I have more things to write than what they did.

So as you know, us Reed's drove up to see the Salgado's while they were camping. We went to the aquarium. Matt didn't go because of work. This picture was stolen from the Salgado's blog. Hey, there's my lid!

Brother Ray is funny because he had the Salgado kids get into a picture booth and he took the picture himself to save money. That's a cool idea except you don't get the film strip and the cool border. But hey, saving money is a good thing.I think this looks kind of cool. We couldn't have the flash on so it looked a little blurry.

Lukas told me I should style my hair like that. What do you think?
We watched them feed the sea otters. They didn't do any special tricks, they just laid on their backs and pigged out.
Here is a really cool looking picture that Lukas told me to take a pic of. The sun is actually the glare from the flash on my camera. It looks better like that actually :DBefore lunch, Ben caught some gnarly waves.

Then we walked to the Salgado's rv to eat. After we ate we drove to the campsite. When we got there, the kids showed Ben and I all the different trails that lead to the same places. A movie was being planned about a happy hobo giving people advice, but the only ones that liked the idea were Lukas and I. Of course he liked it, he thought of it.

Since movies never seem to work out, we just walked to the lounge to play some pool. At least, I think it's called the lounge....? It was Lukas, Ben and I against Kacia, Kayley and Kara. Levi mainly played computer games.

Remember kids, always be a happy camper :D
I don't think the ball's going to move.Hey, all, clorox and snuggle are very good and healthy snacks!

The red eyed monster!

Pretty soon we left to go back to the campsite. We packed up and headed for home. The Salgado's came home with us, Ben and I got to drive with them. We watched The Pink Panther. That movie is so funny and was perfect for the drive home.

When we got home us kids played Capture the Flag, Matt got to play with us. The game got stopped because it was time for dinner. After dinner, Kacia, Kayley and I ran outside in the dark to hide from everyone and scare them. We hid behind the big tree with the swing. Ben knew where we were and hid in the grass so he could scare us as we ran past him. It didn't work because I saw him a while ago lol. Kacia, Kayley and I ran and hid under one of our trees and waited to scare Kara and Lukas. They came out to find us, but they knew we were in there because Levi came out and found us. It was fun even though we didn't get to scare them.

Before our campfire, us girls jumped on the trampoline while singing the camp fire song. And some of us swung on the swing.
C'mon, get him Kacia!

Thanks Kara, I love bright lights in my face

I think Lukas was carrying Matt, but he's just too heavy so Matt got off.

Matt look behind you...

At the campfire we had s'mores and sang church songs.

It got kind of late and everyone needed to get ready for bed. They let Kacia, Lukas, Ben, Matt and I stay at the fire for a little while longer. We were burning sticks, and Ben kept burning weeds. They said it smelled really bad but I couldn't smell it because I was sick. It was fun burning the sticks though, we drew on the rocks so now they have all these black marks/drawings all over them.
Matt's HUGE flame!
